At Hope for HIE, our heart has always been, and will always remain, with families impacted by neonatal and pediatric-acquired Hypoxic Ischemic Encephalopathy (HIE). Our mission is to improve the quality of life for these children and their families by offering awareness, education, and support.
This past Giving Tuesday, our community once again showed what hope looks like in action. Our Board of Directors matched the first $3,500 in donations today, doubling donors' impacts from the very start. Our families and volunteers shared their stories of how Hope for HIE has showed up for them. Through the generosity and compassion of families, supporters, friends, and partners around the world, we raised over $12,000 to fuel Hope for HIE’s mission—and to reinforce a powerful message: no family faces HIE alone.
To every donor, fundraiser, volunteer, advocate, and parent who shared our story — thank you. Your generosity does more than sustain our organization. It strengthens the foundation of hope on which families depend. It helps build a world where no one navigating HIE feels alone, where resources and support are only a click or a conversation away.
Because of your kindness and solidarity, we’re stepping into the season ahead with renewed energy and purpose.
This Giving Tuesday success is just the beginning. With funds raised, we’ll continue to expand and strengthen:
We encourage you to stay connected. Share your story, volunteer your time, or consider setting up a fundraiser. There are many ways to make hope accessible for more families.
Throughout the rest of the month, we will continue raising critical funds to support our families. Our fundraising goal for the month of December is $25,000. Your gift, no matter the size, brings us one step closer.
