Join us on Wednesday, November 8th, 2023 for Hope for HIE's video support group session for parents and legal guardians wanting to learn more about vision impairment and HIE.
➡️ Led by Hope for HIE's licensed social worker, Haley, families will be engaged in a space of healing and hope, no matter where their journey may take them, talking with others to build connections and support.
This event will be co-hosted with 3 parents from the HIE community:
- Danielle Smiley is the foster and adoptive mom to 7-year-old Marty who has severe HIE. She loves serving, advocating for and helping others in whatever way they need. She is a dance instructor who loves traveling/adventures, spending time with friends & family and can find the positive in any situation.
- Stephanie Linde is a technical training specialist for a large healthcare organization in the Midwest. She and her husband adopted their son, Jake, through foster care. He was placed with her family at 5 weeks old and has severe HIE as a result of a birth injury.
- Allison Moise is mom to Rob who’s 6 years old. She is a bartender part time. She also has a passion for connecting with people and providing assistance along the way.

**This support group is for parents and legal guardians ONLY to children diagnosed with neonatal or pediatric-acquired Hypoxic Ischemic Encephalopathy.
