Infant massage is a gentle, nurturing practice that supports connection through loving touch. It’s a way for parents and caregivers to bond with their baby, learn their baby’s cues, and create calm moments together. Infant massage can be especially meaningful because many parents have experienced medical trauma, NICU stays, and disrupted early bonding.
In this session, Annie Gunning, CCLS, will:
- Discuss the benefits of infant massage and how it promotes bonding between infant and parents
- Address considerations for complex medical needs
- Share information on the upcoming teaching sessions offered during the month of March for HIE families
